Happy Friday! Today I wanted to share a brand new subscription box service with you that’s actually different from every other one that we’ve got on the market, now. It’s called Luxury Scent Box.
Remember that post, How to Make Money Quick? I found a new, ultra-addictive way to make money. It’s Depop. It’s an app that you can download on your phone (whether you’re Android or Apple, it doesn’t matter) and sell to others. The layout is similar (OK, nearly identical) to instagram in the fact that it’s very photo-driven. Your items are laid out in a 3-column grid and there’s even the same scrolling you would do on Instagram. However, you get to purchase (and sell) items.
Unsure of what to get Mom for Mother’s Day?!
Well, no matter who your mom is and what her interests are, I (hopefully) have got you covered! Mother’s Day is a week away, so you’ve got plenty of time to shop and get her gift shipped, if necessary!
I will be breaking this down by the ‘type’ of mom your’s may be and will find gifts that can fit any budget. Remember that if you have siblings, take advantage of that. There was one year I wanted to get my mom a bracelet from Coach that was $150. However, I couldn’t justify spending that all on my own so I went to my brother’s for help. I think the youngest one chipped in some allowance and the one almost my age threw in about $50 so we were all able to splurge for something nice for her!
As promised, I would be publishing my USMLE Step 1 Study Schedule. I think I’m going to roll it out as I go, since even during my first two weeks I had made changes depending on what I need to get done!
For example, there were appointments that I made and had to subsequently change out a few things. Or as it got closer to test dates I realized there was no way I was going to study biochem and would rather focus on what was going to be tested!
What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.

This post is going to be completely different than what you’re used to here on Sparkles and Sutures. I was recently tweeting about how I overheard a rather rude and disrespectful conversation during the break between our final tests. There was a group of students joking about how they would wait in front of the clinical labs later in the week to see who failed our Standardized Patient exams (essentially an exam that we perform on actors to make sure we know our stuff before working with real patients). I thought this was so disrespectful to our peers because it really struck a cord with me.
